The Best Gifts for Wine Lovers

Purchasing gifts for wine lovers can be an intimidating task — especially if you’re like me and you choose wines based on how cheap they are and how high their alcohol content is. If you’re in a pinch, the easiest thing to buy a wine lover is wine with a funny or unique name. (I may or may not have bought one of my friends a bottle called Lunatic last week. Subtle insults are the best.)

If you have a little more time (and a little less of a death wish) consider picking up one of these perfect gifts for wine lovers.

Our Favorite Gifts for Wine Lovers

1. Winc Wine Club Membership

“Gym membership? Oh, I thought you said wine membership.” @aflood3 🍷📦 #cheersdelivered

Winc was founded in 2012 and has become wildly popular within the last year. Since its inception, Winc has been featured in Elle, Glamour, InStyle, Cosmopolitan, Fortune, and Vogue — just to name a few of the major publications that can’t get over this genius service.

Winc is a membership-based program that sends curated bottles of wine to your home (or work, if you have a really cool boss) on a monthly basis. To start the membership process, Winc asks a series of questions to better understand your palate and the kind of wines you’d enjoy. After that, the bottles arrive on your doorstep. Once you try the wines, you’re able to rate them on the Winc website to further improve your experience and receive more of the wines you love. Winc has a satisfaction guarantee, so you never pay for a bottle of wine you don’t enjoy.

2. Coravin Wine Pourer

A post shared by Coravin (@coravin) on

The Coravin wine pourer is the extravagant wine lover’s dream. You no longer have to drink (or even worse, waste) an entire bottle of wine when you only wanted to enjoy a glass. This system rings in at just under $200 for their basic model, which may seem a little pricey — but the amount of money you’ll save in wasted wine will be more than worth it in the end.

Begin by selecting a bottle of wine and placing the Coravin on top of the bottle. Push the needle through the top of the cork. Hold the bottle at a 45-degree angle and press and release the trigger to pour the wine. To stop the pour, simply place the bottle upright. Remove the needle from the bottle by pulling the Coravin straight up and out. The cork will then seal itself so you can enjoy that bottle of wine again and again without it spoiling.

3. Sugarfina Rosé All Day Rosé Infused Gummy Bears

These gummy bears make the perfect stocking stuffers for the wine lover in your life. These gummies are infused with Whispering Angel Rosé. Sugarfina also has Champagne Gummy Bears, which are infused with Dom Perignon — fancy! While these gummies can’t get you drunk, they’re definitely delicious.

4. A Wine Purse

Right now, you may be asking yourself, “What the heck is a wine purse?” If you look on Google, you’ll find a huge list of wine bags; but my favorite is the PortoVino collection (mostly because it’s really stylish and comes in a bunch of different colors). These bags are incredibly spacious and can hold all of your purse essentials; on top of that, it can hold up to 1.5 liters (or two bottles) of wine inside its “party pouch.” On the back of the bag, there’s a concealed spout so you can pour the wine directly out of your bag. This purse takes sneaking alcohol to survive family functions to a whole other level.

For the Craft Beer Lover

If your giftee is less into fine wines and more into craft beer, here’s some gifts for them too (because we hate to exclude) — a bottling kit, a beer tasting flight, craft beer shampoo and conditioner, and a personalized beer bottle cap shadow box.
